Candles
This candle will shine as a symbol of the love that you shared as you remember your loved one this Christmas time. The time leading up to this Christmas period, as well as the days themselves, can often be particularly difficult and we hope that your Tribute can provide you and your family with some support and comfort at this time.
Lit by Alzheimer's Society on 19th December 2019
I have many happy memories of times spent with David over the years, starting with Sandhurst in the 1960's. David was most personable, well liked, he possessed an amazing sense of humour. At Sandhurst he was promoted to Under Officer. On leaving Sandhurst he joined the RA and eventually left the army for a career in Finance. We met again in the 1990's at a Sandhurst reunion . From that time on, we have spent many happy times together, sharing in many events: the celebration of David and Ruth's 50th Anniversary, Goodwood Races,Theatre and Cinema visits. We spent many days walking and visiting each others houses and chatting endlessly. We remember David as a good friend, always there in time of need. The void in our lives will never be replaced. May he rest in peace
